Rep. Doris Matsui engages on Easter and Earth Day activities

U.S. Rep. Doris Matsui Representing California's 7th District | LinkedIn

Rep. Doris Matsui, currently serving in the U.S. Congress and representing California's 7th District, has been active on social media recently. Born in Poston, Arizona, in 1944 and currently residing in Sacramento, Matsui replaced Bob Matsui in 2005. She graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1966 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Matsui's recent tweets reflect her involvement in both cultural and legislative activities.

On April 20, 2025, Rep. Matsui posted a message celebrating Easter, wishing happiness to her constituents in the Sacramento region and across the United States. She wrote, "Happy #Easter to all who celebrate in the Sacramento region and across the country! May this day be a symbol of reflection, gratitude and new beginnings. "

On Earth Day, April 22, 2025, Matsui emphasized the necessity of uniting to protect the planet. She announced her intention to introduce a Congressional Resolution acknowledging Earth Day. Matsui tweeted, "Now, more than ever, we must unite to demand basic protections for our planet. As Co-Chair of @SEEC Lands, Waters, and Nature Task Force, I am marking this #EarthDay by introducing a Congressional Resolution recognizing the importance of Earth Day, highlighting the progress we've"

The following day, on April 23, 2025, Rep. Matsui highlighted a significant initiative in Sacramento. She participated in the launch of the Green Career Pathways Program with CalEPIC, Sacramento City Unified School District, and the Masons of California.
