Rep. Doris Matsui, a long-serving member of the U.S. Congress representing California's 7th district, has recently shared her insights and activities on social media. The congresswoman, who succeeded Bob Matsui in 2005, has been vocal about local issues and national concerns through her Twitter account.

On March 23, 2025, Rep. Matsui tweeted about a meeting with Councilmember Phil Serna to discuss priorities for Sacramento residents and the city's future vision. She emphasized the responsibility of local leaders during challenging times, stating: "I had a productive meeting with Councilmember @phil4sacramento to discuss his priorities for Sacramentans and his vision for the future of the City of Sacramento."

The following day, March 24, 2025, she highlighted efforts to maintain healthcare access in Sacramento by referencing the new Railyards Hospital project by Kaiser Permanente. Her tweet read: "At a time when we are fighting to maintain access to care across our community, the @aboutKP Railyards Hospital sends a clear message: here in Sacramento we’re investing in the long-term health of our community and building the kind of infrastructure that strengthens our region."

On March 25, 2025, Rep. Matsui addressed gender pay inequality through another tweet. She expressed her commitment to closing the wage gap alongside her colleagues from the Democratic Women's Caucus: "Unequal pay is unacceptable... My @DemWomenCaucus colleagues and I won’t stop fighting until the gap is closed."
