Rep. Doris Matsui, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing California’s 7th district, has recently shared several updates on social media concerning her engagements and initiatives. The congresswoman has been actively addressing constituent concerns, energy challenges, and advancements in semiconductor technology.

On February 7, 2025, Rep. Matsui acknowledged the concerns of her constituents through a tweet. "My office has received hundreds of calls from concerned constituents in our district," she stated. She expressed gratitude for their engagement and announced an upcoming event scheduled for Monday, February 10 at 1:30 pm PT.

Later that day, she spoke about energy issues at a conference hosted by NASEO Energy. In her tweet on February 7, 2025, she highlighted the importance of collaboration to address challenges facing the electric grid and reduce emissions. "It's time to end the political games and forge a realistic path forward that safeguards our future while still meeting our energy needs," she said.

On February 8, 2025, Rep. Matsui visited Solidigm's facilities and met with its leadership team. As detailed in her tweet, she was pleased with their plans to secure the supply chain from Chinese companies as part of their vision for the Sacramento region. This visit aligns with her role as the Democratic lead on the original CHIPS Act.
