Senator Shannon Grove is hosting a community backpack drive aimed at benefiting local students from preschool through high school. The drive, which began on July 1st, will continue throughout the month of July at her Bakersfield District Office.

The event is scheduled to run until July 31st, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Donations of new backpacks can be dropped off at:

Senator Shannon Grove’s Bakersfield District Office:

All donated backpacks will be distributed to students through the Open Door Network and the Kern River Valley Bridge Connection. These organizations play a crucial role in supporting the educational needs of the local community.

“I am thrilled to host this backpack drive and support our local students,” said Senator Shannon Grove. “With your generous donations, we can make sure that every child starts the school year with the tools they need to learn and feel confident in the classroom.
