UC Santa Barbara defeats Utah 7-2 with Van Froling pitching in NCAA Division I baseball

On Friday, Feb. 27, at 4:05 p.m., Van Froling, a former Inderkum High School standout, helped the UC Santa Barbara Gauchos secure a 7-2 victory over the Utah Utes in their NCAA Division I baseball matchup.

The contest was held at Caesar Uyesaka Stadium. This marked the teams’ first meeting of the season.

Froling gave up one earned run across two innings and struck out three batters.

The Gauchos’ next game is set for Saturday, Feb. 28, at 3:05 p.m. at Caesar Uyesaka Stadium versus Utah.
