Sacramento residents are invited to attend a free webinar on March 25 that will provide information about how to save water outdoors using City rebate programs.

The webinar, scheduled from noon to 1 p.m., will feature advice from City water conservation specialists. The event aims to help homeowners understand the available rebates and how they can use them for outdoor water-saving projects.

“Many customers want to make their yards more water-efficient but aren’t sure where to start,” said William Granger, the City’s water conservation coordinator. “This webinar is a great opportunity to learn what rebates are available and how to take advantage of them.”

The City offers up to $3,000 in rebates for residential customers who convert grass lawns into drought-tolerant landscapes. There are also rebates of up to $800 for irrigation upgrades, including as much as $400 for smart controllers. During the session, specialists will discuss common mistakes and offer practical tips for navigating the rebate application process.

“Our goal is to make the process simple and approachable,” Granger said. “We’ll walk attendees through the steps and answer questions so they feel confident moving forward with their projects.”

The upcoming webinar reflects Sacramento’s ongoing efforts to encourage water conservation among its residents by making resources and support easily accessible.
