Later that day, she warned about the looming possibility of a government shutdown and its potential impact on health insurance costs for Americans. Doris Matsui has served in Congress since succeeding Bob Matsui in 2005 and currently resides in Sacramento. Born in Poston, Arizona in 1944, she earned her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Berkeley in 1966.
