Rep. Doris Matsui, who represents California’s 7th district in the U.S. Congress, recently highlighted her engagement with local communities in a series of posts on social media.

Matsui has represented California’s 7th District since 2005 after succeeding Bob Matsui in Congress. She was born in Poston, Arizona in 1944 and currently resides in Sacramento. Matsui graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1966.
