On January 28, 2025, Rep. Doris Matsui criticized a proposal by the President of the United States to halt federal funding for essential services. She stated: “.@POTUS is pushing an illegal scheme to freeze federal funding—cutting off funding for housing, health care, and emergency services. This will hurt taxpayers and families.”
