Rep. Doris Matsui, a member of the U.S. Congress representing California’s 7th district since 2005, has used her social media platform to address recent political controversies involving Secretary Kristi Noem and former President Donald Trump.
On January 15, 2026, Matsui posted: “Kristi Noem must be held accountable for abuses at DHS. My Democratic colleagues and I are fully committed to seeing this impeachment effort through.

The following day, on January 16, she addressed concerns regarding a business venture linked to Donald Trump: “I joined my colleagues in demanding an investigation into Trump’s latest grift, Trump Mobile. Using the White House to mislead consumers cannot and will not be tolerated.
Later that same day, Matsui reiterated her stance on Secretary Noem’s position: “Momentum is building and we won’t stop until Secretary Noem is removed. https://t.co/gB4zZkS2oe”
Doris Matsui has represented California’s 7th District in Congress since succeeding Bob Matsui in 2005. Born in Poston, Arizona in 1944 and currently residing in Sacramento, she graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a BA in 1966.
