Rep. Doris Matsui, who represents California’s 7th district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of updates on her social media account on September 4, 2025. The posts covered constituent services and called for transparency regarding the Jeffrey Epstein case.

In a message posted at 2:09 a.m. UTC, Matsui announced joint office hours with local officials: “My team will be holding joint constituent services office hours with the teams of State Senator Christopher Cabaldon, Assemblywoman Cecilia Aguiar-Curry, and Yolo County Supervisor Oscar Villegas, at the Arthur F. Turner Community Library in West Sacramento this Thursday! If you https://t.co/CktcINKz5W”.

Later that day at 5:37 p.m. UTC, she addressed the ongoing public demand for accountability in cases related to Jeffrey Epstein: “Listening to the stories of the brave women who suffered Jeffrey Epstein’s abuse was devastating. Their courage demands action and full transparency. The time for justice is NOW. Release the files.”

At 7:34 p.m. UTC on September 4, Matsui also reminded constituents about an event occurring that afternoon: “Happening today at 1:30pm! https://t.co/kzUbd2xxME”.

Doris Matsui has represented California’s 7th District since succeeding Bob Matsui in 2005 and resides in Sacramento. She was born in Poston, Arizona in 1944 and earned her BA from the University of California, Berkeley in 1966.
