Rep. Doris Matsui, who has represented California’s 7th district in the U.S. Congress since 2005, shared a series of personal and political messages on her official Twitter account between December 31, 2025, and January 3, 2026.
On December 31, Matsui addressed the passing of journalist Tatiana Schlossberg with condolences to her family: “I am heartbroken to hear that Tatiana Schlossberg has passed. She inspired me and so many others with her powerful and personal writing. I send my deepest sympathy and prayers to Caroline Kennedy and the entire Schlossberg family.”
She extended holiday wishes in another post on January 1: “Wishing everyone a happy, healthy New Year! https://t.co/toYjAUqG2h”
On January 3, Matsui released a statement regarding President Trump’s actions abroad: “My statement on President Trump’s illegal military action in Venezuela: https://t.co/WKIe0Zt5uO”
