Doris Matsui has represented California’s 7th district since replacing Bob Matsui in 2005 after his passing. Born in Poston, Arizona in 1944 and currently residing in Sacramento at age 78, she brings personal experience as someone whose family was directly impacted by government targeting during World War II—a perspective that informs her current advocacy. Matsui holds a BA from the University of California, Berkeley.
