On Friday, Feb. 28, former John F. Kennedy High School standout Gizella Vargas Sandoval’s current college team, the Cal State Northridge Matadors, won 9-1 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Montana Grizzlies.

The game took place at Matador Diamond. This was their second matchup against the Grizzlies this season.

The Matadors’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, March 1 at 11 a.m. at Matador Diamond against Fairleigh Dickinson Knights.
