Ivan Sigmond, 47, of Clovis, was sentenced to 11 years in prison for possessing with intent to distribute methamphetamine, U.S. Attorney Phillip A. Talbert announced.
According to court documents, on Aug. 28, 2020, law enforcement officers identified Sigmond as a source of methamphetamine supply in the Clovis area. They obtained and executed a search warrant at Sigmond’s residence where they found nearly 30 pounds of pure methamphetamine, along with two handguns and an assault firearm.
This case resulted from an investigation by the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Clovis Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorney Karen Escobar prosecuted the case.
The investigation was conducted under the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETF).
