Representative Doris Matsui, serving California’s 7th district, has made several announcements and reflections in her recent posts on social media. Matsui, who succeeded Bob Matsui in Congress in 2005, discussed opportunities for young artists, community engagements, and insights from a former colleague.
On March 29, Matsui invited high school artists from the Sacramento area to participate in the 2025 Congressional Art Competition. She noted, “Are you a high school artist in the Sacramento area?
