Doris Matsui, a U.S. Congress member representing California’s 7th district since 2005, has shared several updates on her social media account. These posts reflect her recent activities and opinions regarding current political issues.

On March 11, Matsui expressed gratitude for receiving an award from the Barth Syndrome Foundation. “It was an honor to receive the Champions of Progress Award from the @BarthSyndrome Foundation,” she stated. She emphasized her commitment as Co-Chair of the Congressional Rare Disease Caucus to advocate for patients with rare and ultra-rare diseases.

The following day, March 12, Matsui criticized a funding bill proposed by House Republicans. “House Republicans’ partisan funding bill gives a blank check to President Trump and further allows Elon Musk to continue his slash and burn tactics across our government,” she remarked, pointing out that it defunds essential services like veterans’ care and medical research.

Later on March 12, Matsui announced constituent service hours scheduled for March 13 at the West Sacramento Community Center. ” CONSTITUENT SERVICES HOURS: Thursday, March 13 “ She invited constituents to visit between 9 am and 12 pm for assistance in navigating federal agencies.
