Rep. Doris Matsui, a member of the U.S. Congress representing California’s 7th district since 2005, addressed several key issues in a series of posts on April 14, 2026.

She also highlighted Black Maternal Health Week in a separate post: “#BlackMaternalHealthWeek is a time to honor Black mothers and recommit ourselves to the fight for health equity.

Doris Matsui has represented California’s 7th District since succeeding Bob Matsui in 2005. She was born in Poston, Arizona in 1944 and currently resides in Sacramento. Matsui earned her BA from the University of California, Berkeley in 1966.
