Senator Grove Recognizes Donnette Silva Carter as Tulare County Woman of the Year

Senator Shannon Grove has named Donnette Silva Carter, the Chief Executive Officer of the Tulare Chamber of Commerce, as the 2024 Tulare County Woman of the Year. Senator Grove expressed her admiration for Carter's dedication to business development and community enhancement in Tulare, stating, “Her steadfast leadership and commitment to fostering economic growth have significantly contributed to the prosperity and well-being of our region.”

In response to receiving the honor, Donnette Silva Carter expressed humility and gratitude, attributing the recognition to the hard work of her team at the Tulare Chamber of Commerce. Carter stated, “Together, we have worked very hard to support our local businesses and build a thriving community. I am grateful to serve the city of Tulare, and look forward to continuing our efforts to create a prosperous future for all.”

Donnette Silva Carter, who has been the CEO of the Tulare Chamber of Commerce for 7.5 years, brings a wealth of experience to her role with 17.5 years in the chamber industry and 7 years in non-profit management. She is a graduate of Redwood High School and Fresno State with a Business Administration degree. Under her leadership, the Tulare Chamber has experienced significant growth in membership and business initiatives. Carter is actively engaged in organizations that promote economic and workforce development, advocating for local and regional businesses while championing community growth and sustainability. She is also a strong supporter of Veteran rights and recognition.
